Great Concert, Terrible Organizing
The concert was a truly fantastic experience, exceeding all my expectations. The artists delivered an outstanding performance, and the stage design, dancers, and singers from Shakewell were exceptional. The combination of stage design, lighting, and special effects like fire and fireworks was simply stunning. It was a pleasant surprise to see the artists move around in carts, a rare sight in Western shows. The five stars I give are well-deserved by both the artists and the stage.
On the other hand, my disappointment lies with the ticket sale process, which left much to be desired. Many others shared my sentiment, and I hope Ticketmaster takes note and improves their practices. Moreover, the organization at So-Fi stadium seemed ill-prepared for the large crowds. The concert staff were friendly and helpful, but the overall organization was chaotic. Merchandise lines were excessively long, with the express line taking up to 6 hours, only to find that most items were already sold out. On the first day, entry procedures were lax, with people entering without proper vaccine or Covid-negative test verification, causing delays in the start time. Barricades were only put up on the final day, adding to the confusion. Staff appeared confused and uninformed at times, leading to mixed messages and last-minute changes like sudden Covid verification on day 2 that caught many attendees off guard. While the show itself was worth it, I hope for better planning in future events.
